The Shelter Room Makeover Party is made possible with the help of our volunteers. We need you to make our renovations successful! To be a volunteer all you need is a willing heart and the desire to make a difference in the lives of those less fortunate. The success of this program depends solely on the contributions of money, materials, equipment and labor. Without that involvement and support there would be no Shelter Room Makeover Party.

We offer the following volunteer opportunities:

• Donations of new building materials are always welcome. Give us a call with your suggestions. We always need paint brushes, buckets, safety masks and gloves, not to mention trash bags and cleaning supplies.

• Construction professionals and volunteers with trades skills are always needed to assist in making repairs to homes they are sponsoring. Volunteers with professional construction skills are vital to our success. The following are always needed: carpenters, electricians, plumbers, drywallers, painters, roofers, masons, appliance repairmen and people with large vehicles to haul away trash and help deliver large furniture.

• Experienced volunteers and room captains are needed to step in and lead new and inexperienced groups. Captains oversee the design process, make sure the necessary materials and supplies are on hand and within budget, and coordinate their volunteer teams for a fun, safe and successful experience.
